M. Barbosa Construction Co., Inc. is a minority-owned business established by Manuel Barbosa in 1987. We perform a range of structural concrete work in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia areas. Our project contract sizes range from $10,000 to $3,000,000. We are a certified Minority Business Enterprise through the Maryland Department of Transportation and a Small Local Enterprise through the Washington Suburban Sanitation Commission.
We currently operate with two field crews consisting of four employees each. Both crews are managed by highly qualified and experienced foremen. Our projects consist of new buildings, building renovations and additions, waste water treatment plants, pumping stations, and concrete site work. Our scope of work generally includes the following, but is not limited to, foundation work, concrete walls, slab on grades, elevated slabs, and concrete site work. Typically we furnish and install reinforcing steel, set up concrete forms for cast in place concrete, and place and finish concrete on all our projects.
